Hello darling introduce yourself (you can tell anything you want about yourself such as name and where you come from or live).
Hello, my name is Zoysia Gray pronounced (Zo-sha). I was born and raised in North Carolina. I am a true country girl at heart.
How long have you been a fierce natural girl and what made you do this choice?
I have been natural for 3 years now. I decided to go natural, because I wanted to see my hair in its natural state.
Have you ever cut your hair super short or did you ever transition and how did you overcome that?
I cut my hair twice throughout my natural hair journey. The first time was back in February 2013, which is when I did my first big chop. The second time around was back in November 2014, when I did my second big chop. Before doing the first big chop, I did transition for 5 months, but I didn’t like the two textures together.
How would you describe your hair texture?
I would describe my hair texture as being very coily. In the front of my hair I have 3c texture (loose curls), and in the back it is 4a texture (tight curls).
Tell us about your hair color, how do you achieve it and has it affected your hair negatively?
My hair color is my natural hair color, but I do plan on coloring it in the near future.
Which products do you use to wash and style your hair?
To wash my hair I use Tresseme Naturals Conditioner as a co-wash only. My favorite go-to products for styling my hair would either be Cantu Coconut Curling Cream, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, and Eco Styler Gel (Olive Oil kind). And of course I can’t forget about my Coconut oil, I can’t live without it lol
What are your favourite hairstyles?
My favorite hairstyles would have to be Wash n Go’s and Twist outs.
Tell us two things that helped you get the hair you have now.
Two things that helped me were, deep conditioning weekly ( I can’t stress that enough) and having a set regimen.
Tell us 2 don’ts for your hair.
DO NOT use heat if you can help it. If you have to blow dry, please make sure to use a diffuser.
DO NOT over process your hair, meaning, DO NOT color/ dye your hair too often. I’ve experienced that, which resulted in my second big chop.
